"Natanya has been more than just a midwife to us — truly a part of our family — through the birth of both our children. She is the most calming, encouraging and loving presence. It is largely because of her, that I found the courage in myself to have two beautiful homebirths. She has always given us her unconditional support, opening her heart to us, talking to us about absolutely anything, and lovingly guiding us. I can’t imagine having given birth with any more love or support (both times)! I told my husband when we’re pregnant with our third, we might just have to fly to Texas for the birth!!"

I was born on Long Island, NY and at the age of 10, my parents moved us to Northern NH where I fell in love with the Mountains and Rivers and worked as a wilderness educator and ski patroller for almost 8 years prior to getting into midwifery.
My path to midwifery...
When I was 25, my sister decided she wanted a homebirth for the birth of her first daughter and had me there for support. Having never seen a birth before, it felt instantly like I had been helping in this realm my whole life and the midwife told me I was a natural. Thus started my journey to midwifery school.
Midwifery is my calling in life. I feel God has designed me with hands to serve His purpose and to remember the beautiful design He gave us. I love reminding women of how strong they are, how amazing the purpose of motherhood is, and absolutely love watching women transform into mothers.
I believe that birth is inherently a natural and normal function of the body. Women deserve to have the education and resources they need to have the birth of their child in the place they find most safe. My role as the midwife is to educate, inform and facilitate the journey of pregnancy and childbirth for each individual and partnership.
Mountains or beach??? The Mountains are my comfort and although I am leaving them for the flat terrain of Texas, I know they will always be my home.
