Transfer terms at a glance

Transfer before 36 weeks

The package is unbundled and completed services are charged at their individual rates, including visits, administrative services, monthly midwife services, labs, and other care already provided.

Any eligible remaining balance is mailed by check within 30 days.

Transfer at or after 36 weeks

No refund is provided and the full contracted balance remains due.

If a hospital transfer is needed during labor, postpartum care resumes after discharge.

Package FAQs

Do you accept insurance for midwife and birth center care?

The Addice is a self-pay practice and does not bill or communicate with insurance companies. After care is complete, a midwife will complete any paperwork required by a third-party billing company. That company can help prepare and file a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed, varies by plan, and the client is responsible for verifying benefits and managing the claim.

Do you work with health share plans?

Yes. Our team can explain how health share plans may work with your maternity care.

Does The Addice accept Medicaid?

The Addice does not bill Medicaid, but clients with verified Medicaid benefits may qualify for a $1,000 package discount.

Can I use my HSA?

Yes. HSA funds may be used toward eligible midwifery services.

What is included in the $7,900 package?

The bundled self-pay package includes prenatal midwifery care, birth center facility services for mother and baby, labor and birth care, early postpartum monitoring, newborn screenings, follow-up visits through 6 weeks, lactation support, and the additional included services listed above.

What happens if I need to transfer care?

If care transfers before 36 weeks, completed services are charged individually and any eligible balance is mailed within 30 days. At or after 36 weeks, no refund is provided and the full contracted amount remains due. The signed agreement contains the complete controlling terms.
