Where was I born and raised?

I was born and raised in Southern California, but did attend college in East Texas. After meeting my wife Alex and having our 2 kids, we moved to Texas in 2012 and it has felt like home ever since.

My path to midwifery...

My journey into midwifery is simple, I married a midwife! Being apart of my wife’s midwifery journey, plus having our children born out of the hospital with midwives has really shaped my view of midwifery and out-of-hospital births.

My philosophy for births is from the partner standpoint. I believe women who labor and birth babies into this world are strong, courageous and amazing. With the birth of our two kids, I always strived to to be the most supportive partner I could be, whether it was doing hip squeezes, providing emotional support or even making my wife a breakfast of steak and mango juice to satisfy her pregnancy cravings!

Beach or mountains? As someone who grew up spending lots of time in the mountains and at the beach, I prefer to be in the mountains and lakes, but I am not opposed to a good beach environment!

My coffee order: 40oz Owala Tumbler filled with my organic home brew and homemade creamer (coconut milk, 1 scoop salted caramel collagen peptides, 1 scoop Orgain vanilla protein powder, 1 scoop Orgain chocolate protein powder) and the most important ingredient, ice!
